iGA Istanbul Airport is delighted to announce its latest award wins in the 2023 Global Traveler Tested Reader’s Survey Awards by Global Traveler, a US-based travel magazine, including winning "World's Best Airport" and "Europe's Best Airport", further cementing iGA’s position as a leader in global aviation.

Alongside this, iGA Istanbul Airport also received awards for being the "Airport with the Best Food and Beverage Area", the "Best Airport Shopping Experience" and the "Airport Offering the Best Duty-Free Shopping Experience in Europe".

In 2023, it continued to crown its achievements with numerous awards, including these latest accolades from Global Traveler magazine. iGA was chosen by 500,000 monthly readers as part of the magazine’s 20th GT Tested Awards and won an impressive five awards across various sectors. As part of Global Traveler's annual survey, readers determine the best in the world by voting on the travel-related services they have received, destinations and hotels they have visited, airlines they have travelled with, and cruise trips based on their real experiences. Furthermore, Global Traveler is read by consumers who travel frequently, consume luxury items, and experience premium travel and accommodation opportunities monthly. According to research, the average reader takes 18 domestic flights a year with 96 percent regularly travelling abroad and more than 80 percent of whom stay in 4 and 5-star hotels for more than 80 days a year on average.
