Within the international legal framework, each individual has the right to seek protection from their country of citizenship, while, at the same time, these countries are obliged to protect their own citizens. Where a state fails to meet this obligation, alternative mechanisms exist to provide individuals with protection, referred to as international protection. This approach guarantees that foreign nationals who are not protected by their home country can receive the necessary protection. In our country, international protection covers the statuses of refugee, conditional refugee, and secondary asylum. For further information regarding international protection statuses, application processes, and evaluation procedures, please visit our website or contact YIMER 157.
